Television in Cyberspace: Reformulations of Television on the Internet and Digital TV

The study aims to investigate the manifestations of television in cyberspace to understand the reformulation of the television universe in this environment. To do so, we analyze: webtv DNAStream; YouTube; portal of the SBT channel. The research relies on the method of analysis systematized in Laws of Media (1988) by Marshal and Eric McLuhan. The study is also based on the theory of remediation, by Jay Bolter and Richard Grusin (2000) and in the additive and expressive concepts of Janet Murray (2003). The results of the research evidence the process of expanding television in its various aspects, physical, economic, cultural and aesthetic.Downloads
