Interactive Cinema: new possibilities of immersive environments

The text “Interactive Cinema: new possibilities for immersive environments” synthesizes the research that is being held by author, in the post-graduate program in Technologies of Intelligence Technology and Digital Design – PUC-SP. The research seeks to bring together a thoughtful analysis of the entry of digital technology, a technology that inevitably interferes on the cinematic language itself, and not only in its aesthetic. With the advent of the world of binary numbers (Codex of computable information), and the possibility of scanning the image, what was once matter, is then dematerialized, and an infinite of creative possibilities arise, including experiences in film and its processing, namel, the experience of expanded cinema. Construction of new forms of narrative, new spectator-film relationship, a new time and space, new ways of meanings; everything can change. The text is based on the theories of authors such as Peter Weibel, Jeffrey Shaw and Peter Lunenfeld.Downloads
