The objective of this text is to analyze the representations of adolescence and its crises as characterized by Laranjinha and Acerola, the co-protagonists of the Brazilian television series Ciyy of Men, who live in eternal risky situation, in a community dominated by drug trafficking, taking as a sample eleven of its 19 episodes, aired between 2002 and 2005. The main focus will be to discuss the representations of important topics of adolescence, such as resilience, risk situations, friendship functions, peer influences, dating functions, parenting, virginity, and early and unwanted pregnancies, among others. The properly narrative approach will highlight aspects of the structuring of the arguments, besides the characterization of the main characters and important collaborators.Downloads
