An essay on Baianity in Ó Paí, Ó: from cinema to television!

This paper aims to discuss aspects of baianidade and social criticism addressed by the characters, considering the characteristics of seriality found between the film and the series shown on television, Ó Paí, ó. The study of serial forms indicates the television series as a continuity of what was shown in theaters. With an air of comedy and drama, the characters of a tenement in Pelourinho (BA), whose lives are intertwined, in serial form, space and time to expose the modus vivendi of Bahia, and the indicators of violence, prostitution, sex tourism, racism and cunning that constitute the habitat of characters.Downloads
