Mobile Social Networks and Collective Action: notes on the social dynamics in the contemporary media landscape
Keywords:
redes sociais móveis, ação coletiva, mobilidadeAbstract
The present article aims to contribute to the discussion about the specificities of the dynamics of collective action in the context of mobile social networks. In the contemporary communicational environment, several devices, such as tablets and cell phones, offer other forms and possibilities of social interaction in time and space. The subject no longer needs the protagonism of face-to-face interaction to articulate politically. Thus, considering the diffusion of mobile social networks, we intend to discuss theoretical aspects of the transformation of the dynamics of collective action in the contemporary media landscape. Authors like Simmel (2006), Gohn (1997; 2007), Ling (2004) and Sádaba (2007) mark the discussion presented.Downloads
