Romance: metalinguistic procedures and the relation between languages ​​in the fiction of Guel Arraes

Abstract

This article aims to analyze aspects of the film Romance, directed by Guel Arraes, investigating in the feature film the presence of elements of production of meaning as the metalanguage, the option for the comic and how it is configured, as well as the traces of affiliation postmodern present in the filmic text, still examining its dialogical processes. We also seek to observe the relations established between media and the intertwining of artistic languages proposed by the work. Parallel to this, we seek to address the social and communicational context of production and the peculiarities that the director expresses in the representations of the real.
