Due to the characteristics of the new media, they have been the scene of different forms of manifestation on the part of groups and citizens, demonstrating that the mass media have lost the monopoly on the visibility of communicative informational and conversational flows. The reverberation of online demonstrations has made the potential of the internet visible as an instrument for public debate. This work intends to analyze the influence of the disseminated opinion in the cyberspace on the private sphere. We will study the protests launched in 2011 against the commercialization of animal skins by fashion companies, focusing on strategies adopted by cyber-activists.Downloads
