Zhe Jiang: un enfoque chino para el paradigma de la investigación guiada por la prática

Resumen

En términos generales, en chino Zhe [哲] significa filosofía y Jiang [匠] significa artesano. En la práctica del arte chino contemporáneo, Zhe Jiang [ 哲匠] ha sido definido como “pensar como un filósofo; hacer como un artesano”. Los artistas-investigadores que siguen el paradigma de Zhe Jiang mejoran tanto sus habilidades artísticas como sus capacidades académicas. En este artículo, en primer lugar, se presenta el paradigma de Zhe Jiang, comparándolo con la investigación occidental guiada por la práctica. En segundo lugar, se explica el camino para alcanzar el estado mental de libertad desde los aspectos de la indagación y el olvido. La libertad mental puede considerarse como la característica más singular del paradigma de Zhe Jiang. En tercer lugar, se afirma que el resultado ideal de aplicar el paradigma de Zhe Jiang es convertirse en un "yo mejor". Por último, la metodología principal liderada por el paradigma Zhe Jiang se ilustra mostrando ejemplos de mi poema fílmico El corazón de la primavera1. Por lo tanto, este artículo desglosa un viaje de exploración de Zhe Jiang como un paradigma de investigación desarrollado recientemente. Se basa en los enfoques de una relación de trabajo tanto del pensamiento chino como del occidental.

Biografía del autor/a

Chen Chen, Auckland University of Technology

 

Chen is an internationally exhibiting film director, writer and designer with a background in both film and television production. She finished her PhD journey at AUT in 2018. It is a practice-led, artistic thesis including three film poems. This PhD thesis received the Dean’s award for best Doctoral thesis in 2018, and the three film poems were officially selected by 18 international film festivals including the New Zealand International film festival. Chen is teaching in Digital Design and postgraduate. She is currently supervising students from Master of Design and Master of Creative Practice programs. She has taught across a number of disciplines including short film making, Chinese philosophy and aesthetics, curatorial practice, and theory and context in film, animation and gaming
