By observing the dramaturgical text Sempre manuscripts by Doc Comparato, we analyzed in this paper the character construction of Adélia, who embodies a children's literature writer. Using fundamentals of Genetic Criticism, we sought the references that guided the process of writing the play in its initial phase and the remanences in the published text. A 22-folios corpus containing notes and drafts presents clues about the invisible structure of the text and provides a different perspective of reading. We investigated the traces that reveal the author's choices and the repertoire mobilized to produce the piece. Sempre is the first of the three pieces of the Trilogia da Imaginação and marks a phase of intense experimentation. The fragmented narrative reveals the various faces of the protagonist and women in Adélia's sphere of action. We are facing a kind of metalanguage about the act of creation that simulates a plural feminine perspective, composed of a mosaic of references that oscillate between reality and imagination.
