REPRESENTATION IN THE DOCUMENTARY
TOWARDS A DISSIDENT PEDAGOGY OF THE LOOK IN THE EMERGING AUDIOVISUAL
Keywords:

The collaborative work, the social demand, the revolution of thinking of those who have no voice,
the empowerment of the community media and visual narratives as a way of representation, the
visibility of their social circles to defend their rights and their territories, can all be considered
as decolonizing elements and instruments of RECONQUEST of modern times. The new living
forms in consumer societies, the capitalization and privatization of resources belonging to the
people and as a result, the social evolution and cultural diaspora in the community processes
that it has worked for decades in the different Ecuadorian communities, are signs of the
necessity of a new path of emancipation in of areas educational and cultural area. However, the
claim by the different groups with different ways of thinking and diverse collaborative lines of
conviction, democratizing knowledge and disseminating art practices as elements of struggle
and resistance; delve in a deep and necessary reflection of searching for a depoliticized reor-
ganization and leadership to revalue the true rights that belong to the “invisibles”; in order to
abandon the comfort zone has become part of our lives, to become a vehicle of political action
of observing and reacting as it is represented in audiovisual as seen from the viewpoint of
"indigenous people" or "the others" , who have a voice, but lacks resources.
