Fractal Immersion: the scapist experience in virtual worlds and its diegetic replics
Keywords:
Escapist experience, Immersion, Fractal, Virtual worlds, Virtual RealityAbstract
The resurgence of Virtual Reality devices in recent years has increased the frequency and intensity of immersive experiences in digital entertainment. Faced with the fact that video game players devote hours to this kind of enjoyment, this study looks at immersion to understand what artifacts the industry has used to capture the attention of the user over increasingly longer periods. We will use the bibliographic survey to understand the mechanisms of immersion and narrative analysis of electronic games to punctuate an unfolding of this experience, which we call fractal immersion.Downloads
