FANDOM, FANWORK AND SHIPPING AS SUPERNATURAL ENGAGEMENT STRATEGIES

Identifiable in different ways since the beginning of the twentieth century, the culture of fans gains new contours with the transmigration. The union between the fans, besides the affection, allows them to create strategies of engagement that work within the virtual spaces, aiming at modifications of the narrative. The present article proposes to analyze a specific manifestation of the fandoms, the fanworks in the North American television series Supernatural, especially the products related to Destiel, name given to the shipment of the characters Dean and Castiel, two of the protagonists of the program.Downloads
