Holographic march: spectra of a networked society

In April of 2015 the street of the National Congress of the city of Madrid was taken by hundreds of protesters, but for the first time in the history of the political struggles its participants were not corporeal. The Holograms for Freedom demonstration carried out by the platform We are not a crime against the new Citizen Security Law that aims to restrict the freedom of expression and political manifestation of the population, came through holographic art to translate the yearnings of the outraged. We aim to analyze this movement of insubordination that has become possible through social networks and media convergence that have given new contours the forms of organization and dynamics of political activism as well as been able to make them reverberate on a world scale.Downloads
