This article presents a Systematic Qualitative Literature Review that investigates how usability assessments are being carried out in mobile device applications and whether the existing heuristics encompass the context of video streaming platforms. A total of 293 articles returned to Scopus, of which 10 articles enabled us to answer our questions. We conclude that usability assessments in mobile device applications are being carried out by associating different guidelines that give rise to a new, more specific set of heuristics or by heuristic assessment that ends up resulting in the elaboration of specific guidelines or guidelines.
