Abstract

This article describes a narrative review of the literature on the main proposals for business models in post-industrial journalism. The method used was a search in scientific publications in Portuguese, English and Spanish in the years 2019 and 2020 using the keywords: “post-industrial journalism”, “journalistic institutions” and “journalistic business models”, in CAPES Journals Platform. It turned out that, even today, research and analysis follow the same line that Anderson, Bell and Shirky had proposed almost a decade ago in their report on the need to adapt to post-industrial journalism. Thus, this article summarizes the extensive research and recent discussions on the subject.
