THE COVERS OF THE FRENCH MAGAZINE PHOTO (1967-2014):

Keywords:
photographic art, magazine, voyeurAbstract
In this essay, the covers of the french photographic magazine PHOTO are searched between 1967 and 2014, trying to understand how, over time, its editors used the representation of the female figure to give the publication a dubious identity, oscillating between a proposal for a sophisticated magazine of "photographic art" and a much simpler offer of photographs of naked women to a predominantly male voyeur audience.
