Equivalence of the transdiegetic sound of electronic games with the function of dialogue in the cinema

Through analyzes based on the concept of diègesis, a fictional world, interpreted by Cláudia Gorbman, of vococentrism of Michael Chion, programs and materials of Jesper Juul we point a similarity in the hierarchical importance of the dialogue in the cinema to the transdiegetic sounds, sounds of interaction between the player and the electronic game, term created and developed by Kristine Jørgesen. Thus, even if they are equivalent, the dialogue in the cinema and the transdiegetic sound in electronic games manifest themselves sonically different as syntax and semantics, with cinema being based on the meaning of the text and electronic game based on the meaning of sounds.Downloads
