Spectatoriality and Materiality in Television Multiplatform: an analysis of the Superstar program

Tensioning the relations between technology, materiality and cognition, this article aims to analyze television reception combined with simultaneous Internet browsing in other devices. The proposal is to investigate the possible impacts that multiplatform television generates on the subjective, sensory and cognitive experience of viewers, reconditioning habits and behaviors. In order to elucidate the questions that are posed, the SuperStar program is chosen as object of study. The article proposes an analysis of how the change in the material status of the devices can influence the relationships that the viewer establishes with the television medium.Downloads
