Narrative unfolding, cognition, and the complex transmissive reception of fans in our times
Keywords:
Storytelling transmídia, Cognição, Recepção, Ancoragem, PolifoniaAbstract
This article aims to cognitively study the transmissive reception from the narrative unfoldings elaborated by the fans themselves, who interact virtually with their peers in communities of online discussion forums. Fan communities, or Fandom, carry a series of elements that converge around a work already chosen by the public (Miranda, 2009), in the case analyzed, the narratives of "The Hobbit" and "Lord of the Rings" by JRR Tolkien , which have recently won their cinematic versions, and which also constitute their fictional universes transmídias through platforms like games, RPGs, animations, among others. In this process, we aim to observe apoliphonia of meanings and voices produced by its different interpretations, besides the anchoring, adjustment and associative activations made in the discussion of different hypotheses formulated through the initial source material.Downloads
