City of Men: Narrative Perspective and Friendship Relationships

Abstract

We assume the perceptual theorists Folkcommunication cultural studies to examine the different ways this article aims to undertake an analysis fictional discourse of the series Cidade dos Homens, with emphasis on the narrative perspective (focus), on the character class and the relationship between text and context. The focusing study on the show allows us to know the point of view of the of the two protagonist boys through the temptations of drug trafficking, community relations in which they are related and the “outside world”- the city of Rio de Janeiro, and the friendly that has bound them since childhood, which we get by observing the relationships between the short film Palace II, and from episodes of Cidade dos Homens

Doutor em Letras pela UNICAMP, atual professor Adjunto IV da Universidade Federal da Paraíba e é bolsista de produtividade em pesquisa do CNPQ, desenvolvendo pesquisa sobre cinema brasileiro contemporâneo, junto à área de Comunicação.
