Abstract

Since the second half of the 2000s, news on sensors, smart tags and large networks for exchanging information between objects has become a feature of the press. Known as Internet of Things, this type of technology involves collecting and transmitting information with or without human participation. Our study searches for the media's media coverage in the national and foreign press and is concerned with evaluating the types of applications reported, sources consulted and visual resources used. The results point to a caricature and futuristic view of technology.
