Octavio Getino - Filmmaker of the Latin American cinematographic integration
Abstract
The death of the filmmaker Octavio Getino in Buenos Aires on October 1st, at age 77, was a sad news for us who, from Brazil, accompany his tireless intellectual work of reflection on the Latin American audiovisual field. This article is not a biographical synthesis of the lively and rich life of Getino (1), which is intended to point to some of the important axes of his thinking and establish links with Brazilian cinema.Downloads
