A Look at Mobile Read-Write and Watch Devices

Speaking about mobile devices for reading and/or viewing is a real challenge today. Current trends and innovations of the market impose ‘device-centered’ dynamics and they dismiss other perspectives. This paper shows the problematic from an evolutionary point of view and a cognitive introduction. The following analysis starts from the description of the analogical support of information and digital technology, through display interfaces, up to the current condition of the market of e-Readers and Tablets.
