In the Trilha dos Sujeitos: audiovisual, memory and the empowerment event for women

How can the updating of the individual memories represented in the images compose autonomy discourses for women? From four films produced by the international consortium Pathways of Women's Empowerment, this article proposes the definition of an empowerment event for women as a process of change in their lives, mediated through images and connected to two other contemporary events: photography and film addressing. The intention is to investigate how the films approach the spaces of transition for different subjects-woman, from the narratives of memory that contract past and future in the present and establish lines of belonging by way of a "becoming."Downloads
